2018 In Pictures – Howard Fine Acting Studios, Shakespeare Republic, Melbourne WebFest and more #acting #webseries #Shakespeare
December already! Where has the time gone? 2018 has whipped by and brought so much wonderful stuff professionally with it, for which I am very, very grateful. Of course, as it’s nearing the end of the year, it meant that I fell ill almost immediately after the HFAS Master Class in November, as I was finally in the position for the first time in 12 months where I didn’t have to be somewhere doing something. Well, I had to be in a couple of places, but my body had other ideas and I just had to stop and rest for a while. Of course, that enforced halt gave me some…

Melbourne WebFest round-up and more news on the Shakespeare front – it’s still all go this July! #shakespeare #webfest #allthethings
So that’s another WebFest done for 2018, only this time I wasn’t just there as a creator, but primarily in my role as General Manager. Melbourne WebFest is over for another year and it was a crazy, intense, fun and exhausting ride! But I love these guys and the festival and it was so good to be able to catch up with so many people that I haven’t had a chance to see in ages, but also make some new friends in the online series world. In what has turned out to be the biggest MWF to date, we had four days of screenings, panels, networking events and of course…

It screened at the Pilot Light TV Festival this weekend just gone, and screens in Wales, England, USA, Italy, Brazil and Melbourne, Australia over the next two months! The short film, Speaking Daggers (the spin off from the web series), has been officially selected for 12 international film festivals to date, and the big news there is that it will be screening in a couple of weeks as an…

November/December Round Up – Shakespeare Republic Awards, Speaking Daggers Awards and new project launched!
So. Much. Going. On!! I know I start nearly every update with those words, but it really is true!! Happy New Year!! I’m going to start the year by rewinding back to November last year (which was, in reality, a couple of months ago) to explain the header image of this post. So, I was in New York in November … I love that I can just casually throw that around … and not only was I in NYC, but I was also there to pick up the CINE Golden Eagle Award for Best Digital Series for Shakespeare Republic! I know! Amazing!! While I was there, I also attended (with…

May 2017 update: #ShakespeareRepublic #SpeakingDaggers & more …
It’s May already!? More the point – it’s almost halfway through 2017 already!? Where do I start? We filmed and released Shakespeare Republic: #LoveTheBard (Season Two) AND prepped, filmed, edited and premiered the newest addition to the Shakespeare Republic stable: the Shakespeare short film Speaking Daggers. I’m back on the documentary Champion, with completion for that film on track, plus have one play and two more screen projects in development. So let’s break that down, shall we? SPEAKING DAGGERS This little gem was a blast to work on and involved a fantastic cast and crew that I was so delighted to work with. Featuring Michala Banas, Nadine Garner, Christopher Kirby,…
