2018 In Pictures – Howard Fine Acting Studios, Shakespeare Republic, Melbourne WebFest and more #acting #webseries #Shakespeare
December already! Where has the time gone? 2018 has whipped by and brought so much wonderful stuff professionally with it, for which I am very, very grateful. Of course, as it’s nearing the end of the year, it meant that I fell ill almost immediately after the HFAS Master Class in November, as I was finally in the position for the first time in 12 months where I didn’t have to be somewhere doing something. Well, I had to be in a couple of places, but my body had other ideas and I just had to stop and rest for a while. Of course, that enforced halt gave me some…

Festivals, interviews, awards and more – that was the three months that was! #acting #actor #director #shakespeare
It’s been a crazy few months, with interviews, more filming, a couple of acting gigs and the Shakespeare projects continuing to screen at film festivals around the world – much to all the team’s ongoing delight! Just to keep a record of what’s been going on, I’m going to simply brain dump everything here in this post, so you’ve been warned! SHAKESPEARE REPUBLIC Where do I begin?! So that’s another WebFest done for 2018, only this time I wasn’t just there as a creator, but primarily in my role as General Manager. Melbourne WebFest is over for another year and it was a crazy, intense, fun and exhausting ride! But I love these guys and the festival and it was so good to be able to catch up with so many people that I haven’t had a chance to see in ages, but also make some new friends in the online series world. In what has turned out to be the biggest MWF to date, we had four days of screenings, panels, networking events and of course…

Sally joins Melbourne Web Fest as Board Member and General Manager
Absolutely delighted to announce that I have accepted the position of Board Member and General Manager at Melbourne Web Fest! Steinar Ellingsen (Festival Director) made the offer back in September and I officially took up my duties in early October. I am having a ball working with the whole MWF team and excited about what we are bringing you in 2018! The job isn’t just about admin and producing stuff, I’ve also been able to stretch my wings creatively – writing and directing a couple of fun comedy sketches to be used as festival promos next month, as well as acting in a couple as well! The above photo was…

Infront Artists interview at Melbourne Web Fest Opening Night
What a blast we had at the Opening Night of Melbourne Web Fest! So much fun had at the State Library of Victoria with fellow producer, Billy Smedley and our wonderful Sound Editor, Tim McCormick. During the night, Billy and I had a chat with Infront Artists about Shakespeare Republic, and here’s that interview below. Enjoy! [vimeo id=”241830029″ align=”center” mode=”normal”]
