Sally McLean wins Best Director at the 2024 British Web Awards

In an unexpected but very welcome turn of events, I was so thrilled to be named the winner of the Best Director Award at the 2024 British Web Awards for my work on Dark Arcadia this week!
And that was just one award the series recieved: we also landed their Best Trio Award (for Sasha Leong, Ag Johnson and Christine Pearsall’s work as the Wyrd Sisters) and the series took out their top award for Best Drama. Amazing.
I would like to thank all my cast and crew for making me look good and congratulate them all for their respective wins. It was a truly surprising and extraordinary result and I am so grateful to all my team and the BWA for making this all possible.
Here are some clips from the British Web Awards’ streamed award ceremony when these awards were announced, including the announcement of my friend and colleague, Alan Fletcher, winning their Legends Award – which is so well deserved, because Fletch is absolutely a legend in every sense.
Huge thank you to British Web Awards Director, Chris Hemsbury and the BWA team for awarding Dark Arcadia! I am so grateful and thrilled. Incognita Enterprises’ wonderful Patreon peeps have access to the live reaction video that Producer, Phoebe Anne Taylor (who played “Jane Porter” in the series) and I filmed on Zoom while watching the BWA broadcast yesterday – so head to our Patreon to see our in-the-moment reactions to all this amazing news!
